Use a USB stick from a well-known brand: the stick needs a unique serial number. Stick broken or lost? A HWID reset moves the license to a new stick.
Updates are free while your license is valid, whenever they are released. Pay by credit card, debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Once your payment has arrived, you receive the activation code by email (usually within a few hours).
A PC with Windows 8.1, 10 or 11 (a few newer features do not work on 8.1), administrator rights and internet for activation.
Yes. PC Werkbank starts in Dutch; click EN at the top of the program to switch to English. The program restarts in the chosen language and remembers it. Some log messages may still appear in Dutch.

2. Start it and confirm the administrator prompt.
3. Enter the activation code from your email and click Activate. The license is tied to this PC.
4. Choose a username and PIN and keep the 10 recovery codes in a safe place.

The Portable Technician Edition is tied to 1 USB stick and works on unlimited PCs. When activating, each PC is tied to the code; another PC is only possible after a HWID reset.
Order a HWID reset. Your code is released and you can activate it on the new PC.
You are responsible for keeping your code safe. A lost code is not replaced; a new license is required.
On first start you set your own username and PIN and receive 10 one-time recovery codes. With a recovery code you can set a new PIN and username (click "Forgot PIN?"), after which you get 10 new codes. If you have lost both your PIN and the recovery codes, we cannot restore anything either. Keep the codes safe, for example in a password manager.
For activation, yes. After that, PC Werkbank checks your license online at startup; up to 30 days without internet is no problem.
PC Werkbank checks at startup whether a new version is available. If so, the button Update available appears at the top. You first see what is new; with 1 click the new version is downloaded, checked and installed. Your license, account and PIN keep working. Updates are free while your license is valid.
PC Werkbank will no longer start until you buy a new license. You get a notice 14 days in advance.
